Description
CASA, the Common Astronomy Software Applications package, is being developed with the primary goal of supporting the data post-processing needs of the next generation of radio astronomical telescopes such as ALMA and VLA.
JIVE is leading an effort to extend CASA to enable processing of Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) data. In the context of the ESCAPE2020 project, a Jupyter notebook environment is provided that integrates the latest CASA release with specific VLBI tools. The goal of this environment is to support calibration and imaging of observations from the European VLBI Network (EVN) and other VLBI arrays.
